Regi falls short at OFSAA

This season, midfielder Jessica Almeida played nine games for the champion Regiopolis-Notre Dame Panthers without once finding the back of the net.
She snapped that scoring  drought Thursday morning at, of all places, the high school triple-A provincial girls soccer championships in Hamilton.
Unfortunately that sudden burst of offence went for naught in the long run. The Panthers dropped a 4-2 decision to the Corpus Christi Longhorns, surrendering two goals in the final seven minutes.
Almeida, 17-year-old cousin of Panther linchpin Brittany Almeida, tallied both Regi markers.
