Toronto collected its share of medals at the provincial high school track and field championships which ran June 2 to 4 at the Laurentian University track in Sudbury - including a couple of double gold medalists. The story of the meet, at least for Toronto, had to be Andre Azonwanna-Ford. from North York's J. Cardinal McGuigan, who not only won two of the more prestigious events - the junior men's 100 and 200m dash - but also obliterated Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championship records in the process. In fact, his time in the 100m of 10.56 seconds not only broke the old OFSAA record of 10.77 seconds, but it was also 0.22 seconds faster than the senior men's winner on the day.
