Faulds captures bronze medal at OFSAA track meet

Bay of Quinte athletes won three medals at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations track and field championships in Sudbury last weekend.

The lone gold medal went to Centre Hastings Centurions' Josh Fenton, who placed first in the 100m ambulatory race in a time of 13.20. Moira Trojans' Donald Winter was fifth in the same race.

Bronze medals went to Trenton High Tigers' Rachel Faulds and Quinte Christian Eagles' Blake Scheerhoorn.

Faulds won bronze in the junior women's 3,000m with a time of 10:17.8. Marc Garneau Astros' Alexandra Rainville-Barzay placed 10th in the same race in 10:45.43. Faulds also placed sixth in the 1500m in 4:45.07.
