Midtown Toronto athletes collect OFSAA medals

The high school sports season has ended, and local schools in our midtown Toronto coverage area collected their share of medals at provincial championships which were held around the province this month.

Here are the highlights.

TRACK AND FIELD

Elizabeth Whelan, from Branksome Hall, a midtown private school, was one of only two double gold medalists from Toronto at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) track and field championships.

She proved to be unbeatable at the middle distance events in senior women's competition, winning both the 800m and 1500m events.
